SPOKANE, Wash. -

The Cougars kicked off Spokane week by celebrating one of the greatest wins in school history, the 2003 Holiday Bowl victory over Texas.

No. 15 Washington State beat 5th-ranked Texas 28-20 to cap off a third straight 10-win season, and four key figures from that win were at Northern Quest Casino for a viewing party of that very game.

Former Cougar linebacker Will Derting, quarterback Matt Kegel, and head coach Bill Doba watched the game with fans.  Idaho Vandals head coach Robb Akey, who was WSU's defensive coordinator at that time, was also in attendance.

All four gave commentary, and shared stories, as they broke down the game's biggest moments.
