Real guns pointed at teens with pellet gun
Law enforcement officers in Helena pointed real guns at three teenagers who had been driving around pointing a fake gun out the window.
The Independent Record reports two boys, ages 17 and 18, and a 15-year-old girl were stopped Thursday afternoon by half a dozen officers with their weapons drawn.
Someone called 911 to report he had seen someone point the gun out the window of a sport utility vehicle in the direction of a house. The caller wasn't sure if the gun had been fired, but followed the SUV, which also drove by an elementary school.
Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton says the teens may not face any charges for their actions with the pellet gun, but they did find out they could have been shot.
