SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

Spokane County deputies are investigating an armed robbery that happened in Spokane Valley Friday night.

Just after 6 p.m. Friday, a man walked into a nail salon near Mission Avenue and Pines Road, demanding money from a customer.

The female customer gave him her purse, which according to police included about $1,400.

Police said they believe this was a targeted attack and that they suspect and victim knew each other.

Then around 8 p.m., the investigation led Spokane deputies to the 6500 block of North Walnut. Police believed the suspect from the robbery was inside. Police detained and questioned multiple people in the house and seized evidence.

Police said drugs and a possible gang affiliation were connected to the robbery.
